Celia Moore is Manager of Corporate Community Relations IBM Europe, Middle East, Africa. Celia joined IBM in 1995 to implement a new pan-European strategy for Community Involvement. She currently manages programmes across nearly 30 countries which focus on how innovations in Information Technology can help solve social issues, and co-ordinates IBM Corporate Responsibility across internal disciplines in Europe.
Before joining IBM Celia had extensive experience of engaging the corporate sector in social issues, and creating public private partnerships, from various roles in the voluntary sector. She was Deputy Chief Executive and Operations Director at Action Resource Centre, a UK agency specialising in business involvement in the community. Her career started at Apex Trust where she worked with companies to employ white-collar ex-offenders, and run careers advice sessions in juvenile offender institutions and residential children's homes. From there she went on to specialise in developing preventive services for young people at a social services policy unit and a grant-making Foundation, the Intermediate Treatment Fund. Celia is Vice Chair of CSR Europe and a member of the Board of The European Academy of Business in Society (EABIS).
