Media Influence on CSR
16:00 - 17:00, 8th of November 2006
Media organizations are in a unique position to promote creativity, enable freedom of expression, encourage good citizenship and act as a catalyst for community activity - all key elements of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda. Sustainable media organizations will be those which work in a credible way, which are trusted and reflective of the culture of diversity. As business, their responsibilities are broadly similar to other sector organizations, and are reflected in their corporate attitudes, policies and governance - taking into account any material, social or environmental impact, while keeping an eye on employees, markets and communities.
